    Convert a result channel to a standard Future.

    Convert a result channel to a standard Future. Note that a result can be already retrieved synchronously (i.e. in a blocking manner) from a result channel using its get_! method. This is only present for interoperability.

    Note: this method can not be implemented as a class member of RIChan because Future is invariant in its type parameter.
